Birragai Shoot
02.04.2010

These images are from a recent shoot at Birragai, south of Canberra, which were commissioned to show the changes in the landscape since the 2003 firestorm which decimated this part of the country and destroyed over 500 homes in Canberra. Birragai was literally a moonscape, and to give you an idea of what it looked like, look under Open Editions > Canberras Black Saturday, on this site. Thankfully, regeneration is beginning to make the lanscape a little more recognizable as the Australian bush which we know and love, but it's been a long road to return.
